Mesopotamia Lodge is a working deer farm situated half way between Sydney and the Gold Coast. It is located in the beautiful Macleay Valley, opposite Dangars Creek Winery situated less than 10 minutes from town on 207 lovely undulating acres featuring a wetlands abundant with birdlife. More than 50 different varieties of wild birds have been seen at Mesopotamia Lodge including the Jabiru (Australias only Stork), Black Swan (who raise their young here every year) Night Heron, Tawny Frogmouth, White Breasted Sea Eagle to name a few. Only minutes from the beautiful Macleay River where Australian Bass (between October and April) are caught.
We are also only 20mins from coastal towns with some of the most beautiful beaches in Australia where blackfish, bream, whiting, tailor, mullet, flathead and jewfish and other fish are caught.
It is only a short drive to invigorating mountain streams and lots of walks through forests and national parks.
